CVE-2024-41689

Wi-Fi access via plaintext WPA/WPS credentials

Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cleartext credential storage in Syrotech SY-GPON-1110-WDONT 3.1.02-231102 allows physically proximate attackers to read WPA/WPS credentials. The router firmware or database stores those wireless credentials without encryption, leaving them recoverable from extracted binary data. Exploitation requires physical access and firmware reverse engineering; the recovered credentials grant access to the target Wi-Fi network.
