CVE-2024-41667Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unrestricted login template

Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Code injection in OpenAM 15.0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side commands through an OAuth login template. RealmOAuth2ProviderSettings.getCustomLoginUrlTemplate creates a FreeMarker Template from unrestricted CustomLoginUrlTemplate input with a default class resolver, permitting construction of the Execute utility. Administrative access to configure an OAuth2 provider and a valid OpenAM session are required; rendering the crafted login URL runs commands with the server process's privileges.
