Memory disclosure via crafted KWW file
Published May 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Panasonic KW Watcher 1.00 through 2.83 allows attackers to read process memory through a crafted KWW file. The vendor identifies a memory-buffer error reached when KW Watcher parses the file, but has not disclosed the affected parser routine or incorrect bounds operation. A user must open the attacker-supplied file; successful exploitation exposes memory and can also interrupt the application, with no reported write or code-execution impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
