CVE-2024-41613Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized note content

Published Aug 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in the note editor of Symphony CMS 2.7.10 allows remote attackers to run script in a viewer's browser. Note content accepts attacker-supplied script or HTML and later renders that markup without neutralizing it for the browser. Exploitation requires a victim to view the edited note; published assessments disagree on whether the ability to edit it requires privileges.
