CVE-2024-41610Network attack vector

Remote command execution via hardcoded Telnet credentials

Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Hardcoded credentials in D-Link DIR-820LW firmware 2.03.B01_TC allow remote attackers to access Telnet and execute arbitrary commands. The Telnet service accepts a firmware-embedded credential pair rather than device-specific credentials, although public records do not identify the account or storage locus. Network reachability to Telnet and knowledge of the shared credentials are sufficient to obtain the service's command-execution access.
