Browser script execution via file upload
Published Jul 19, 2024 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Cross-site scripting in RuoYi 4.7.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script code through the file upload method. The uploadFile(MultipartFile file) method in CommonController is the affected locus, but the disclosure does not identify the missing validation or unsafe output operation. Exploitation is network-based and requires a user to interact with the uploaded content, exposing data and actions available in that browser context.
