Authenticated service interruption via unchecked CGI copy
Published Oct 3, 2024 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
Buffer overflow in the DrayTek Vigor3910 management UI through 4.3.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt device memory. A CGI handler reads the dnsserver POST value, calculates its length, and passes that unchecked length to _memcpy(), writing beyond a heap buffer. Low-privilege access from an adjacent network is required; the write can crash or reboot the router, while code execution was not tested for this variant.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
