CVE-2024-41588

Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked CGI parameters

Published Oct 3, 2024 · Updated Oct 4, 2024

Buffer overflows in DrayTek Vigor3910 firmware through 4.3.2.6 allow remote authenticated users to cause unspecified impact via POST requests. The v2x00.cgi and cgiwcg.cgi handlers pass attacker-controlled POST parameters to strncpy without checking that the input fits the destination buffer. A valid management session and network access to the router Web UI are required; public sources do not state whether exploitation causes a crash or code execution.
