CVE-2024-41585Public exploit

Host command execution via prefix-only recvCmd validation

Published Oct 3, 2024 · Updated Oct 4, 2024

OS command injection in recvCmd in DrayTek Vigor3910 4.3.2.6 and earlier allows attackers to execute commands on the host OS. recvCmd validates only that guest-supplied virtual serial input begins with an approved /etc/runcommand script name, then executes the entire string. Exploitation requires privileged access to the emulated DrayOS guest and grants command execution outside that guest on the underlying host.
