Item duplication via omitted slot-consumption callback
Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Improper slot validation in EMI 1.1.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to duplicate Minecraft items via crafted packets. FillRecipeC2SPacket removes or reduces source inventory stacks without calling Slot.onTakeItem, so slot-specific consumption logic does not run. The attacker must connect with a modified client to a server running the affected mod; the consequence is limited to in-game inventory integrity.
