Authenticated command execution via unfiltered MAC parameter
Published Jul 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda FH1201 firmware 1.2.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted mac parameter. The WriteFacMac handler copies the mac parameter into a command variable without filtering and executes the resulting string. Access to the router's adjacent management network and valid privileges is required; exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the appliance.
