Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered cmdinput parameter
Published Jul 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Command injection in Tenda FH1201 firmware 1.2.0.14 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via cmdinput. The exeCommand function copies the unfiltered cmdinput value into stack storage and then passes it for command execution. The HTTP endpoint requires no privileges or user interaction, so a network-reachable attacker can run commands with the web service's device permissions.
