Router crash via unchecked page parameter copy
Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1201 firmware 1.2.0.14 allows remote attackers on the adjacent network to crash the router. DhcpListClient passes the attacker-controlled page value to sprintf, which copies it into stack buffer v7 without checking its length. An unauthenticated HTTP POST can overwrite the buffer and interrupt router service; no confidentiality or integrity impact is established.
