Stored script execution via unsanitized process name
Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in ProcessMaker pm4core-docker 4.1.21-RC7 allows attackers to execute scripts through an imported process name. The process import path accepts the Name field from crafted JSON without sanitizing it, and the archive view later renders that value as executable HTML. Reachability requires an administrator to import the supplied JSON and archive the resulting process; execution occurs in that administrator's browser and is bounded to the web session's access.
