Administrator-session script execution via unescaped group parameter
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Reflected XSS in Microweber 2.0.16 allows remote attackers to execute script in an authenticated administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The settings admin module assigns the group query parameter to $show_group and prints it unescaped inside a module type attribute. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the crafted request; successful script runs in that administrator's browser context.
