Unauthenticated browser script execution via unfiltered command
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in ICEcoder 8.1 allows remote attackers to execute browser scripts via a crafted terminal command request. When proc_open is disabled, lib/terminal-xhr.php passes the command request parameter into the JSON output through returnHTMLPromptCommand without filtering or encoding. The request needs a CSRF value obtainable from index.php and victim interaction, after which the script can access data and actions available to the victim's ICEcoder session.
