Unauthenticated command execution via userScript parameters
Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
Command injection in RPi-Jukebox-RFID 2.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through its web application. The userScripts.php handler concatenates the folder and folderNew POST parameters into a sudo command and passes the resulting string directly to exec. No authentication is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled shell syntax through sudo and can create a remotely accessible PHP web shell.
