Unauthenticated command execution via track deletion parameters
Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024
OS command injection in RPi-Jukebox-RFID 2.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through trackEdit.php. The track deletion branch concatenates POST-supplied folder and filename values into a sudo rm shell command and passes it to PHP exec without validation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and injected shell syntax can write a PHP web shell under the web root for persistent command execution.
