Script execution via unencoded IP address input
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Reflected XSS in phpIPAM 1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via a crafted IP request. The request-IP page copies the POST ip_addr value directly into an HTML input value attribute without encoding or validation. A logged-in attacker must induce another user to submit the crafted request; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled JavaScript in that user's phpIPAM browser context.
