Elevated code execution via DLL search-path hijacking
Published Oct 11, 2024 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
DLL hijacking in Lenovo Lock Screen before 9.0.18 allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. Lenovo identifies an uncontrolled DLL search path but does not disclose the affected executable, library name, or directory where an attacker-controlled DLL is resolved. Local low-privileged access is required; successful loading grants the malicious DLL the elevated execution context of Lenovo Lock Screen.
