Unauthenticated code execution via oversized HTTP path
Published Aug 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stack overflow in FAST FW300R 1.3.13 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or crash the router via an HTTP request. The HTTP file-serving path handler fails to bound an overlong /login/ path before filesystem lookup, allowing the saved program counter to be overwritten. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted request to TCP port 80 can crash the appliance or redirect execution.
