Metrics interception via cleartext HTTP transport
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Codenotary immudb 1.9.3 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept metrics communications. The metrics server used by ShowMetricsRaw and ShowMetricsAsText accepts requests over HTTP because StartMetrics calls ListenAndServe without the server TLS configuration. An attacker must occupy a network path between a metrics client and the server; captured metrics lose confidentiality and can be altered in transit.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
