Script execution via reflected error parameter
Published Aug 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 7, 2024
Reflected XSS in Responsive School Management System 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via the student login error parameter. The /smsa/student_login.php page inserts the error parameter into its HTML response without output encoding, causing browsers to interpret injected markup as script. A victim must open the crafted request; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in the application's browser origin.
