Memory corruption via unchecked IPMacBindIndex copy
Published Apr 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W15E 15.11.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via an IPMacBindIndex request. The formIPMacBindDel handler passes the POST parameter to strcpy without checking whether it fits the stack-based indexs array. Management-interface access is required; the published 2,000-byte proof of concept demonstrates the overflow path but not code execution.
