Administrative command execution via crafted web inputs
Published Aug 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Command injection in Beckhoff IPC-Diagnostics-www before 2.1.1.0 allows local users to execute commands with administrative privileges. Certain Device Manager UI pages fail to validate specially crafted local input, allowing it to reach a privileged command-execution path. Exploitation requires a low-privileged local account and interaction with the affected UI; successful exploitation provides administrative command execution.
