Code execution via SPP parser stack overflow
Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024
Stack-based overflow in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2302 before V2302.0015 and V2404 before V2404.0004 allows attackers to execute code. The SPP parser writes crafted file data beyond a stack buffer while reading the file. Opening an attacker-supplied SPP file is required; successful exploitation crashes the application or runs code with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
