Authenticated code execution via unbounded port index copy
Published Apr 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W15E 15.11.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute code or crash the router. The formDelPortMapping handler copies the portMappingIndex value into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its destination boundary. Access to the management endpoint with low privileges is required; crafted input can corrupt memory, enabling code execution or service interruption.
