Denial of service via stack buffer overflow
Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killer WiFi before 23.80 allows attackers to cause denial of service via adjacent access. Intel has not published the affected routine, input field, or unchecked operation that overruns the stack buffer. Exploitation requires no authentication and a listed Wi-Fi 7 adapter on Windows 10 or 11; Intel has not disclosed the resulting failure mode.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
