CVE-2024-41139

Local SYSTEM execution via unrestricted DLL placement

Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

Incorrect privilege assignment in SKYSEA Client View 6.010.06 through 19.210.04e allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. A resident Windows process accepts a specially crafted DLL from a specific folder whose access restrictions do not exclude ordinary logged-in users. The attacker must be able to log in locally; successful exploitation grants SYSTEM-level code execution on affected Windows clients.
