Blind SSRF via unchecked vector dataset URL
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Blind SSRF in Open Geospatial Solutions streamlit-geospatial allows remote attackers to send requests from the application server. In pages/9_🔲_Vector_Data_Visualization.py, the URL input reaches gpd.read_file without destination validation, causing a request to an attacker-selected address. No authentication is required; although responses remain blind, the requests can probe services on the server or reachable internal networks.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
