Unauthenticated code execution via evaluated palette input
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in streamlit-geospatial before commit c4f81d9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a palette field. The Timelapse page passes the user-controlled palette value for the MODIS Gap filled Land Surface Temperature Daily option directly to Python eval(). No authentication or user interaction is required; submitting crafted palette text executes commands with the Streamlit server process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
