Unauthenticated code execution via evaluated visualization parameters
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in Open Geospatial Solutions streamlit-geospatial before commit c4f81d9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The Timelapse page passes user-controlled vis_params text for the Any Earth Engine ImageCollection option directly to Python eval(). No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful input executes code with the Streamlit server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
