CVE-2024-41112Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via palette eval

Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Code injection in Open Geospatial Solutions streamlit-geospatial allows remote attackers to execute server code through a palette field. The Any Earth Engine ImageCollection palette control in pages/1_📷_Timelapse.py passes its text directly to Python eval(), which treats the supplied expression as code. Network access to the deployed Streamlit app and selection of that Timelapse option are sufficient to create, read, alter, or delete data with the server process's permissions.
