Kernel crash via variable-length firmware header

Buffer overflow in the Linux cs_dsp firmware parser allows local users to crash the kernel through a crafted wmfw V2 firmware file. The V2 algorithm-header parser advances across variable-length strings without first verifying that each later field remains inside the firmware data buffer. A local user must cause the affected driver to parse the malformed file; the published assessment limits direct impact to a kernel crash.
