Local denial of service via uninitialized HPD work

Denial of service in Linux 6.7 through 6.9.5 allows local users to trigger a kernel BUG during runtime power-management resume. On headless NVIDIA cards, nouveau leaves hpd_work and hpd_lock uninitialized but schedules hpd_work when runtime power management resumes. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, a card without display hardware, and a runtime resume; the resulting BUG interrupts the host.
