Stored XSS via unescaped margin setting
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Responsive Gallery Grid before 2.3.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a gallery setting. The plugin stores the unsanitized rgg_options[margin] value and renders it unescaped in the RGG settings page, allowing an event-handler payload to run. Administrator-level access is required, and another user must interact with the margin field; execution occurs in that user's browser context.
