CVE-2024-40895Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via forged client requests

Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

OS command injection in FFRI AMC and affected OEM bundles 3.4.0 through 3.5.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands via forged client requests. The notification-program handler passes crafted yarai-client request data to a configured .bat or .cmd file without neutralizing command syntax. No authentication is required, but notification programs must be enabled with a specially written batch or command file; commands run as LocalSystem by default.
