Custom URL validation failure in iTunes on iOS and iPadOS before 18.1 allows remote attackers to escape the Web Content sandbox. The iTunes custom URL handler inadequately validates untrusted URLs before passing them across the Web Content sandbox boundary. Exploitation requires user interaction; Apple has not disclosed the malformed URL fields or the privileges available after escape.
