Remote keystroke inference via Persona gaze signals
Published Sep 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Presence in Apple visionOS before 1.3 allows remote attackers to infer virtual-keyboard input from Persona video. Presence keeps Persona active during gaze typing, exposing eye-gaze direction and blink patterns that can be mapped to virtual keys. Exploitation requires a remote observer to receive the victim's live Persona while the virtual keyboard is active, exposing typed text without device access.
