UI spoofing via framed malicious content
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
UI spoofing in Apple Safari before 17.6 and affected macOS releases allows remote attackers to misrepresent framed website content. Apple states only that flawed UI handling permits a website to frame malicious content and has not disclosed the affected code path or erroneous operation. Exploitation requires a user to visit the website; the resulting deception can alter what the user believes the browser interface or framed content represents.
