Authentication bypass in Apple WebKit allows attackers to view private tabs in Safari before 17.6, iOS and iPadOS before 17.6, and macOS before 14.6. WebKit's Private Browsing state management fails to preserve the authentication lock when tabs are accessed, exposing their contents without reauthentication. The bypass requires access to the browser or device context holding locked Private Browsing tabs and is limited to the confidentiality of those tabs.
