Improper authorization in APFS in Apple macOS allows local users to bypass Privacy preferences through a malicious application. APFS insufficiently restricts data-container access requested by an untrusted application, permitting it to cross privacy boundaries. A user must execute the malicious application; Apple has not disclosed which protected data or services become accessible.
