Process crash via misparented ruby continuation cleanup
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Use-after-free in WebKit across affected Apple platforms allows remote attackers to crash a web-content process with crafted HTML. WebCore mishandles display:ruby block continuations, leaves a previous renderer misparented, and releases it during RenderObject::destroy cleanup. A user must load attacker-controlled web content; the published consequence is process termination, with no reported code-execution impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
