Local denial of service via unterminated intent URI
Published Jan 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Denial of service in Android 12, 12L, 13, and 14 allows local users to hang intent URI parsing via a malformed intent URI. Intent.parseUriInternal fails to reject a missing semicolon terminator, so its parameter loop repeats without advancing the parse position. Exploitation requires no additional execution privileges or user interaction and consumes the calling process until parsing is interrupted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
