CVE-2024-40645Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unrestricted banner upload

Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Jul 31, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in FOG Project before 1.5.10.41 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the Rebranding page. The banner handler verifies only 650-by-120-pixel dimensions, then retains an attacker-chosen extension without restricting it to safe image types. Access to the management interface is required, and a PHP-parsable upload executes commands as the web server account.
