Arbitrary code execution via non-letter HTML tag parsing

Cross-site scripting in Joplin for Desktop before 3.0.15 allows local users to execute arbitrary code by rendering a crafted note. The forked htmlparser2 Tokenizer treats a less-than sign followed by a non-letter as a tag start, creating a sanitizer and browser parsing mismatch that admits injected tags. User interaction is required to render attacker-controlled note content, after which JavaScript can access Electron's Node context to read local files or execute commands.
