Request injection via unvalidated Binary HTTP fields
Published Jul 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper input validation in Netty codec-bhttp before 0.0.13.Final allows remote attackers to inject crafted HTTP requests. BinaryHttpParser.readRequestHead converts attacker-controlled method, scheme, authority, and path slices to strings and constructs DefaultBinaryHttpRequest without validating them. Applications that trust the library to validate Binary HTTP input can expose request smuggling, desynchronization, header injection, cache poisoning, SSRF, or cross-protocol injection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
