CVE-2024-40617Network attack vector

Administrator privilege hijacking via path traversal

Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024

Path traversal in Fujitsu Network Edgiot GW1500 before V02L19C01 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted sensitive files. The public advisory does not identify the request endpoint, parameter, or exact path-validation error that lets a crafted request escape access restrictions. Exploitation requires User Class credentials and the factory-shipped initial configuration; file disclosure can enable Administrator Class privilege hijacking.
