Stored XSS via unsanitized survey settings
Published May 21, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Stored XSS in AYS Pro Plugins Survey Maker before 4.2.9 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through survey settings. The General Settings question fields accept script-bearing input without sanitization, and the front-end questionnaire renders it without output escaping. Administrator privileges and a disabled unfiltered_html capability, such as on WordPress multisite, are required; the script runs when a user views the affected survey.
