Traffic interception and tampering via unvalidated certificates

Improper certificate validation in affected Fortinet FortiPortal releases allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept TLS traffic. When FortiPortal connects to FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, or SMTP endpoints, its TLS client fails to validate the peer certificate. An unauthenticated attacker must control a network position between the systems; successful exploitation exposes and permits modification of traffic on those channels.
